Fjarðaveitingar has been part of the culinary scene in East Iceland for many years. Originally established as a restaurant, we have since transformed into a dedicated catering service, focusing on what we do best, creating unforgettable event experiences through exceptional food

With a strong emphasis on quality, freshness, and traditional cooking methods, we carefully select the finest ingredients from local suppliers. Our specialty is grilled cuisine, where flavor and texture take center stage

Whether it’s a family gathering with 20 guests or a large corporate event with more than 300 guests, we have the experience and expertise to turn your dream celebration into reality

Sveinn Jónsson
-Eigandi og matreiðslumaður-

Sveinn Jónsson has worked as a chef since 1979 and has decades of experience in the profession. Throughout his career, he has worked at numerous restaurants and canteens, both in Iceland and abroad, gaining extensive knowledge of cooking and kitchen operations. In 2007, he founded Fjarðaveitingar and has since led the company with a strong focus on quality, professionalism, and good food

Sædís Gestsdóttir
-Matreiðslumeistari -

Sædís Gestsdóttir graduated from the Hotel and Culinary School in 2014 and completed the theoretical part of her master’s studies in 2021. She completed her apprenticeship at Bautinn in Akureyri and with Icelandair Hotels. She has also worked at Hotel Edda and as a cook at Eyrarvellir Kindergarten in Neskaupstaður from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, she has worked at Fjarðaveitingar, contributing to creating high-quality meals for the restaurant’s guests
